Using the concepts covered in this course, students take a clear position on the topic of international cooperation. This paper should: a. Introduce and explain the topic; b. Take a position. Have a clear thesis statement; c. Defend the student’s position with logical and persuasive arguments; d. Provide supporting evidence that is accurate and authoritative. In their papers, students are expected to combine their own thoughtful analysis with ideas and information found in a minimum of three sources. Therefore, as in any scholarly writing, students should not merely copy information from another author, but use evidence to support the contentions they have drawn from their findings and critically analyze related literature – this paper has to be an analytical paper, not a summary of readings. This paper must meet APA requirements of format and style. Students must cite the sources of all ideas, facts, and information used that are not their own, even if they have put the information into their own words. Failure to do so is plagiarism, even if the oversight is unintentional.
Directions:
The world has many different actors with a multitude of motivations and interests. In order to reach their goals, many actors have decided to act in conjunction with other actors on an international stage in the spirit of globalization. Your paper will evaluate and analyze the causes and effects of an example of international cooperation.

What is the main objective of cooperation and how do the actors seek to accomplish their goals?
Has the effort been effective or ineffective? Has it made the situation better or worse? How so? Why?
Based on what you have learned in class so far, what is your position on the topic? Do you agree or disagree with the decisions of the major actors?
Finally, what are any recommendations you can think of to improve on what the actors have built so far? Defend your ideas.
