Assignment 2: Art Studio Concept Plan
In this assignment, students will use the knowledge they have gained in class along with the text reading handouts to design a conceptual plan of an Art Studio. Students will not need to actually design an art st their playrooms but will create documentation to communicate a conceptual plan of the centre to their in and classmates.
Students will choose an age group that don’t normally work with from the following list to create their c infants, toddlers, preschool (age 3-5), ?Out of school children (age 6-12). ?It is expected that Early Learnin Educators are able to plan for a variety of ages and must adapt to include age group planning that is not ?? ?their current position.
Students will research and cite what an effective, well developed art studio would look like for their chos group. The documentation should include:
A well labeled diagram of what the physical space of the Art Studio would look like
Images of materials and tools that represent a variety of art mediums.
Images of materials and resources that would enable children to independently explore the 5 ?elen art.
Images of furniture that would support the function of the art studio in an environment that is aes pleasing.
Students will then complete a 1-2-page written portion that supports the intention of their studio creatio written portion should include:
The importance of open-ended art experiences, and how your art studio would allow for child-ce exploration
The importance of natural materials and furnishings and how they support the concept of the “En as the 3????  ?Teacher”.
Communicates how exploration of the elements of art explored through engagement in the space
The role of the educators in facilitating learning with the materials and through interactions.
