TheFinal Project will consist of 3 Parts:
1.In Part I of a Final Paper: define H.R. Terms and Philosophies we have explored this semester. (See reverse side.)2.In Part II of the Final Paper: research and report on an aspect of H.R. (of your choosing) in a Fortune 500 company (that you select,approved by your professor).3.Make a presentation in class aboutone of the H.R. topics and what you researched about the Fortune 500Company.
Guidelines:
1.Each student willselect a Fortune 500 company. (The list of Fortune 500 companies canbe found at: http://fortune.com/fortune500/wal-mart-stores-inc-1/)
Since everyone in the class should report on a different company,tellthe professor your top three choicesbyThurs.,April 7 andyou will be notified about your selection.
2.Prepare a written paper on any aspect of HRM associated with the company. For example, you could focus on recruitment, training and development, benefits/compensation, company perks (or a combination thereof). Or you might find some interesting information that has challenged the HRM practices of the company (i.e. lawsuits). Your paper should also include, in its introduction, where the company falls on the Fortune 500 list and what kind of company it is (i.e. a bank, a software company, an insurance company).
3.The paper should be prepared in MLA format and the required length is 5 pages (including the definitions). If you are not familiar with MLA format, a pamphlet can be found in CW’s library, or you may visithttp://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/747/01/.

4.Each student will also be required toverbally provide a brief summary of his/her findings to the class.
