Much of this week’s discussion forum has been about the broad variety of slave experiences based on work, where they lived, who owned them, old or young, male or female, etc. Given all of your reading, previous knowledge, and other research for the forum: is there any one common black experience in the 1800s? If yes, what is it, if no, why not?
