child narrative (WIL) assignment.This task requires you to complete
a narrative about an infant or toddler from your professional placement (PX).
You will tell their ‘belonging’ story, with a focus on their early childhood experiences and experiences with professional services in their community, using yarning methodology. You will need to spend some time with the infant/toddler, and speak with the infant/toddler’s family and educators to complete this narrative. The narrative must make links to the importance of cultural and linguistic identities as they underpin learning and teaching. You must integrate theories of belonging throughout the narrative yarn. You must reflect on what you learnt from narrating the child’s belonging story in regard to the ways that educators and early childhood services can support children and families with diverse abilities and backgrounds.
